Jadon Sancho confident about completing Manchester United transfer

Manchester United are trying to complete the signing of Jadon Sancho this summer.

Although some will argue that the club fell short of signing the Borussia Dortmund winger last year – not landing a primary targeted listed by the manager – they was never talk of an official bid until recently.

My understanding from working on the story was that Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund both respected the fact they shared different valuations, but now it sounds like the German club are willing to accept less than their previous demands.

With the player already after agreeing on terms in principle to join United, the Manchester Evening News understands Sancho’s entourage expect the winger to move to Old Trafford even though an opening offer (£67million) was rejected by Dortmund last week.

The report adds that United were around £10m shy of Dortmund’s asking price for an up-front fee for Sancho, however, his camp are understood to be ‘confident’ the transfer will still go through.

Time to get excited about Sancho’s arrival? Possibly.
