(Video) Amad Diallo scores incredible last-minute free-kick winner

Amad Diallo made just his second appearance for Ivory Coast against Burkina Faso but came out of the game with his stocks rising as he scored a last-minute winner with a spectacular free-kick. The 18-year-old started the game as a substitute but came on to make the difference.

The teenager joined United from Atalanta last January and instantly became a fan favourite. Solskjær has used him sporadically as he eases him into life as a first-team footballer but his performances have warranted added responsibility.

Ivory Coast struggled against Burkina Faso and it looked like the spoils would be shared but with 97 minutes on the clock, the hosts were awarded a free-kick. It says a lot about Amad’s confidence to step up in just his second international appearance to give his nation the victory.

Amad, who has started twice in the Premier League for Manchester United, had a similar impact against AC Milan in the Europa League. An injury to Anthony Martial meant that Amad was thrown into the deep end at half-time but it took him just four minutes to get on the scoresheet that time.

Solskjær is expected to assess Amad in pre-season before making a decision on whether to keep him as a part of the first team or to seek a loan move.
