Manchester United’s Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been nominated for the Premier League’s manager of the year award.
Solskjaer’s side finished runners-up in both the Premier League and Europa League this season, with a key word such as ‘progress’ doing the rounds to excuse the lack of a title charge.
I mean, sure, Solskjaer was definitely one of the best managers in the league this season as United went the entire campaign unbeaten away from home.
The United manager is joined by Man City’s Pep Guardiola, Leicester City’s Brendan Rodgers, West Ham’s David Moyes and Leeds United’s Marcelo Bielsa.

No sign of Jose Mourinho… or Jurgen Klopp for the matter.
However, I can’t see the award going to anyone but Guardiola, with Solskjaer next in line because there’s no arguing against the manager who delivers the league. Period.
Guardiola benefits from having a board that will back him to be successful. Man City will spend to address problems in the team, and rarely start a season missing key components of a side that challenges for titles.
United are playing catch up this summer and we are not far behind as things stand.
