Premier League player of the year: Bruno Fernandes only Manchester United player shortlisted

Bruno Fernandes up for a top individual award and it’s hardly a secret that he would prefer a trophy won with his teammates.

Bruno Fernandes rounded off a fine campaign with Manchester United by being nominated for the Premier League’s player of the season, alongside the likes of Harry Kane and Ruben Dias.

The Portuguese Magnifico has had a brilliant season for United. I mean, it’s always a good sign when your midfielder is among the league’s top scorers, too. Fernandes was thired overall in the Premier League goalscoring charts, only behind Golden Boot winner Kane of Tottenham and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

Check out the nominees for this years’ POTY award below, via Premier League:

Fernandes scored 18 goals in the Premier League, 4 in the Champions League, 5 in the Europa and 1 goal in the Carabao Cup – a total of 28 goals for the season.

With that, Fernandes finished the 2020/21 season as United’s leading scorer in all competitions, as the Reds finished runners-up in both the Premier League and Europa League.

  1. In my opinion Harry Kane, should be the player of the year, he deserve it. That’s what i think, because has done a lot by winning the golden boot. He deserve it.
