Manchester United legend Eric Cantona backs aid campaign for Palestine

Former Manchester United forward Eric Cantona put a photo on social media wearing a ‘Hoping for Palestine’ t-shirt.

French football legend Cantona on Saturday supported a relief campaign launched for Palestinians who are facing Israeli attacks.

At least 139 people have been killed since Israel started attacks on Gaza last Monday.

The 54-year-old shared his photo on Instagram wearing the t-shirt designed for an NGO, Hoping Foundation.

“Hoping is raising funds for Palestinian Medical Relief society’s emergency response in Gaza,” Cantona said.

He poses alongside his wife Rachida Brakni who is wearing the same shirt.

The Manchester Evening News are giving away a copy of Eric Cantona’s new United documentary.
