Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has had a huge hand in opening the scoring during Wednesday night’s Premier League clash against bitter rivals Liverpool.
Inside the game’s opening 10-minutes, an excellent underlapping run from full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka allowed Fernandes to find room deep inside Liverpool’s area.
After picking up the ball, the Portuguese midfielder attempted a technical curling effort with the outside of his boot.
Although the attempt was heading on target, centre-back Nat Phillips intervened and inadvertently guided the ball into his own net.
1-0 to the Red Devils.
