Manchester United open to Diogo Dalot offers and have received £12m bid

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to listen to offers for Diogo Dalot this summer and have already opened transfer talks with loan club AC Milan.

Dalot is currently enjoying a season-long loan spell at the San Siro, and featured against United in the recent Europa League last-16 tie.

The Portuguese full-back, signed from Porto by Jose Mourinho in 2017, has never been favoured by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and could be heading for the exit door permanently this summer.

According to the Metro, United are now open to offers for Dalot, and have already received a £12m bid from Milan.

The report claims Milan’s ‘informal’ offer is below what United would be comfortable with but they would be willing to sell if the right price is met.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has become indispensable at United, starting 27 out of 29 Premier League games in this campaign.

Solskjaer requires an attacking right-back to provide competition for the 23-year-old, but it is looking increasingly unlikely that Dalot will be that man.

However, Dalot’s United career could still be saved as the Metro’s report claims he will be given a chance to stake his claim in the first-team squad next season if his valuation isn’t matched.

The Liverpool Echo also reported last week that Everton could make a third successive attempt to prize Dalot to Merseyside this summer.
