The first leg of our Europa League round of 16 meetings with AC Milan kicks off tomorrow night.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has several injury doubts, including Marcus Rashford and Edinson Cavani, and I have taken note of them for our predicted XI to face Milan.

Rashford sustained an injury in the Manchester derby and had to be substituted as a result. Scan results revealed nothing sinister in the injury, but he is not likely to play on Thursday or Sunday against West Ham. That means we could see Anthony Martial play on the left, with Mason Greenwood through the centre and Daniel James to his right.

Elsewhere, it’s a good opportunity to bring Eric Bailly and Alex Telles into the team. Both tend to play well when called upon this season.

Dean Henderson will make his third consecutive start for Manchester United.

Manchester United XI vs AC Milan: Henderson; Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Bailly, Telles; Matic, Fred, Fernandes; James, Greenwood, Martial.

Dan James now deserves a place in games like this because his form of late has been excellent. We need players like him knocking on the door because nights like this are made for them.

It’s also important United get the job done against Milan because Solskjaer needs to win a trophy. Pressure will mount if he doesn’t deliver the FA Cup or Europa League this season.
