Confirmed Manchester United XI vs Liverpool: Donny van de Beek and Paul Pogba start

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has included  Donny van de Beek and Paul Pogba in his Manchester United starting lineup to face Liverpool in the fourth round of the FA Cup at Old Trafford.

United meet their bitterest rivals for the second week in succession after drawing 0-0 at Anfield on Sunday in the Premier League.

Solskjaer’s side will hope to go one better and defeat Jurgen Klopp’s side, who are without a goal in four league games.

The Norwegian boss has made five changes from the side that returned top of the league with victory at Fulham on Wednesday.

Dean Henderson returns in goal after keeping his first Old Trafford clean sheet in the previous round against Watford.

Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka retain their place at full-back and Victor Lindelof returns alongside captain Harry Maguire.

Donny van de Beek gets his long-awaited start after not being involved at Craven Cottage against Fulham.

The Dutchman replaces Bruno Fernandes at the apex of midfield and will link up with a pivot of Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba.

Edinson Cavani keeps his place after impressing against Fulham and will be supported by Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood in attack.

Liverpool, meanwhile, have also named a strong lineup with Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah starting in attack and Thiago, Gini Wijnaldum and James Milner making up an experienced midfield three.
