The January transfer window will be open soon and Manchester United fans will be wanting to see a deal or two that will strengthen the squad and help us finishing the current campaign strongly.
There are a number of areas in the team United could improve. From defending to finishing, a right winger and defensive midfielder.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is already excited about one arrival.
Amad Diallo is expected to join United in January — work permit pending — after signing for the club on deadline day, in the summer transfer window.
Manchester United’s official website stated in October that the player would join ‘at a later date,’ and Atalanta’s Papa Gomez, who has seen the rise of the youngster in Italy, rates him very highly.
“He’s a future star, trust me,” Gomez told talkSPORT. “During our training he seems like [Lionel] Messi! You can’t stop him.”
Yet Diallo has only appeared five times for Atalanta’s first team? Why hasn’t he played more if he’s unstoppable or anywhere near as good as a young Messi?
I’m sure the kid has tons of potential, but it seems a bit dramatic making Messi comparisons so early on.
Let’s give the kid a chance at United; he’s coming from a different league and, on top of the Messi comparisons, that’s not easy.
