Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka and midfielder Bruno Fernandes showed glimpses of linking-up brilliantly down the right-hand side during tonight’s match against PSG.
Wan-Bissaka, 23, joined United from Crystal Palace during the summer of 2019 in a move which cost the Reds £49.5m, as per Transfermarkt.
Having grown to become of Europe’s best defensive full-backs, there has always been question marks surrounding the 23-year-old’s attacking ability.
Relentlessly compared to Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold who is England’s poster boy when it comes to modernised attacking full-backs, Wan-Bissaka will always have a point to prove when going forward.
After featuring in a total of 59 matches in all competitions for United, Wan-Bissaka has only managed to be directly involved in five goals (one goal, four assists).
However, a string of decent performances have seen the right-back begin to grow more confident when finding himself in more offensive positions.
A clip from the Reds’ exciting match against PSG earlier this evening has emerged which perfectly showcases Wan-Bissaka’s attacking improvements.
United’s reliable defender found himself charging at PSG’s back-line before perfectly linking-up with team-mate Fernandes.
