Nobby Stiles, the only Mancunian to win the World Cup and European Cup, died aged 78 after a sustained period with prostate cancer and dementia.

A tribute banner to Stiles has been unveiled in the Scoreboard End ahead of today’s game against West Brom.

All credit to Stretford End Flags for the wonderful gesture to pay respect to one of the club’s heroes.

Kick-off is not till 8pm but preparations are underway at Old Trafford.
