Man United still finalising Amad Diallo transfer ahead of January arrival

Manchester United are still finalising the details of Amad Diallo’s transfer ahead of the teenager’s arrival from Atalanta in January.

United announced the signing of Diallo on a hectic transfer deadline day that included deals for fellow young winger Facundo Pellistri, Alex Telles and Edinson Cavani.

When the club announced the signing of Diallo in the final hours of the summer window, they stated his transfer was subject to a medical, personal terms and work permit.

And according to the Manchester Evening News, United are still in the process of securing a work permit ahead of his impending arrival in the New Year.

Diallo is one of the most exciting prospects in Italian football and will come to United with heaps of potential.

The club noted in their announcement that they have tracked the Ivorian winger’s progress since he was 15-years-old.

The 18-year-old netted on his Serie A debut last season but has not featured for Atalanta this term. He has been an unused substitute in six of their 10 fixtures, as per the MEN.

Diallo recently excited United fans by sharing a clip of a stunning training goal in training.

Diallo clearly possesses special raw talent but he is inexperienced and expectations must be tempered ahead of his arrival.

Like Pellistri, the youngster will need plenty of time to settle in and is likely to feature for Neil Wood’s U23 side before being promoted into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first-team.
