Video: Sky Sports reporter gives update on Man Utd pursuit of Jadon Sancho

The tiresome transfer saga involving Jadon Sancho and Manchester United is finally coming to an end, for this summer at least.

United appear to have exhausted all avenues in their well-documented pursuit of the Borussia Dortmund forward and now have just a week to somehow finalise a deal before the October 5 deadline.

And according to information given in Sky Sports’ latest update surrounding Sancho, there is no indications of progression in negotiations for the England international.

In fact, Sky Sports reporter Gary Cotterill has confirmed that Dortmund have reiterated their stance that the sale of their star man is ‘not happening’.

It is noted that United could still make a bid for Sancho but it will not come close to matching Dortmund’s £108m valuation.

Dortmund acknowledge that Sancho still has three years remaining on his current deal and would therefore be foolish to sell him during this financial climate when they could demand a higher fee and ignite a bidding war when the transfer market is in a better state next year.

United may have to turn their attentions elsewhere with it looking increasing likely that Sancho will remain in Germany for at least another season.

But according to ESPN, the club are yet to give up on their Sancho pursuit and still have hope they can reach an agreement with Dortmund this week.

Stretty News will keep you up to date and all information surrounding Sancho as we enter the last week of the summer window.
