Jadon Sancho youth coach in favour of potential Manchester United switch

Jadon Sancho was fit in perfectly at Manchester United, according to the England international’s former coach.

United have yet to conduct a deal that will see Sancho switch Borussia Dortmund for United and his present club are showing no intention of lowering their demanded price which is a whopping €120m, as per Daily Mail.

There is only two weeks remaining in this transfer window and a compromise will need to be reached somewhere if Sancho is to return to the Premier League.

Louis Lancaster worked closely with Sancho when he was a teenager in the Watford academy and believes a move to Old Trafford would be the next logical step in his career.

“If Jadon was to go to Manchester United I think it would be a great move for him,” Lancaster told Manchester Evening News. “He would be going to play for a manager that has trust, if you look at some managers they don’t trust that talent.

“Jadon will probably go to Manchester United but it will also be great for the Premier League, and it would be great for him because the club are structurally set up for success. You don’t want to go somewhere they are not set up for that. The club have got a tremendous amount of history, they have got a great coaching staff and they have got players who will trust him.”

There’s still a long way to go but with youth coaches coming out to make a point that he’d fit in perfectly at United must be something.

If Lancaster is in regularly contact with Sancho to this day, does he know something we don’t?

With the transfer window open still for a another few weeks, United need to get their move on quickly and strengthen this side so the season doesn’t fall flat on Solskjaer’s face.

Lancaster added: “I think with his personality he will just fit in with (Paul) Pogba, (Bruno) Fernandes, he will just fit in like a duck to water. If he goes there they are not just getting a great footballer but they are getting a mature 20-year-old. If you look at others his age he is incredibly mature. For him to leave a country at such a young age, and going to Germany has made him a better person. If he goes to Manchester United they are getting a mature and independent 20-year-old.”

It has been one of those tiresome transfer sagas that has been allowed to drag on all summer.

And at this point, with just a few weeks left in the transfer window, you would think United had another target ready to work on and get more deals over the line.
