Aaron Wan-Bissaka could miss start of pre-season after ignoring Man Utd advice

Manchester United full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka could reportedly miss the start of pre-season training after appearing to ignore the club’s travel advice on his holiday destination.

Wan-Bissaka is currently spending his end-of-season break in Dubai, meaning he will now have to quarantine for 14 days when he returns to the UK.

The Daily Mail reports that United officials advised the players over suitable holiday destinations where they could travel without having to self-isolate when they return.

And it appears Wan-Bissaka may have ignored the club’s advice as he will have to spend 14 days in self isolation when he is returns from Dubai at the end of this week.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad are set to begin pre-season training next week, so the 22-year-old is in danger of missing the start of United’s preparations for the new campaign.

Wan-Bissaka could find himself in hot water with Solskjaer who will be keen to make the most of a limited pre-season as the new campaign begins in under a month’s time.

Meanwhile, the Guardian notes that Wan-Bissaka was one of the United stars given extra time to recuperate after the long and draining 2019/20 season.

But it remains unclear if he had actually been given to permission to travel to Dubai given the requirement to self-isolate for 14 days afterwards.
