Italian press link Man Utd to Fiorentina winger valued at €55m after Sancho reports suggest Reds will look elsewhere for winger

Manchester United have submitted a £49m bid for Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa amid concerns about a deal for Jadon Sancho, according to reports.

There has been conflicting reports about Sancho since last night, with The Athletic (£) claiming that United are prepared to walk away from a deal if Borussia Dortmund refuse to budge from their asking price.

Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano dismisses this and claims personal terms have already been agreed and talks are still ongoing.

Amid the alleged situation, La Nazione (via Football Italia) saw the opportunity to link United to another potential target and unsurprisingly it is one close to home for the Italian outlet.

The report claims Manchester United have bid €55m (£49m) for Chiesa.

The 22-year-old has 10 goals in 34 Serie A games this season, the second consecutive campaign he has reached double figures.

“I kept him last summer, now I hope that he remains,” Fiorentina owner Rocco Commisso said (via One Football). “But if he wants to leave, then he can do so as long as he brings in the right money for his true value.

“I gave him the all-clear, as long as he brings the right money. I would like him to stay, but if he does want to go, then the clubs have to pay us what we believe he is worth.”
