There’s a positive update on the Jadon Sancho transfer saga this morning.
German reporter Christian Falk says Borussia Dortmund expect Manchester United to pay €120m in instalments for the English winger, which they are seemingly fine with as long as the deal is done in next seven days.
August 10 is supposedly when Dortmund want everything sorted by to allow them move on with their own business. They have already signed talented midfielder Jude Bellingham from Birmingham City, though the potential millions acquired from a Sancho deal is likely to see them sign a replacement for the winger in the transfer market.
Losing Sancho is always going to come as a blow for the Bundesliga outfit but they’ve sold their best players for years and seem to have the right people in charge when it comes to finding new recruits. Not to forget a certain Erling Haaland up front.
The positive update from Falk was shared on Twitter this morning, as seen below:
Update @Sanchooo10: @BVB expect the club @ManUtd to pay the transfer fee of 120 million euros in installments. That would also be okay for @bvb. But: the offer must be submitted by august 10th @BILD_Sport

If United have just seven days to get a deal done for Sancho — a deadline apparently set by Dortmund — they need to start moving quicker.
The deadline, however, is not for another nine weeks so technically United have more time to tempt Dortmund into a sale.
