Manchester United fans have been fantasising over the prospect of long-term target Jadon Sancho becoming a reality by discussing what shirt number he should wear should he eventually join the Reds.
Sancho, 20, has been linked with a move away from German outfit Borussia Dortmund in favour of United for the best part of a year now.
The young winger has endured a monumental rise to the forefront of European football after a stunning campaign which has seen him rack up 17 goals and assist a further 16 in just 25 domestic starts.
In the saga’s latest development, according to Sky Sports News, United are ‘growing increasingly confident’ that their proposed move for Sancho will materialise.
Despite recent reports from online outlet Kicker which suggest that Sancho would prefer a move to Premier League arch rivals Liverpool, United still remain the firm favourites to secure the youngster in a deal which would have the potential to be a British record.
In light of the recent reports, United fans have since taken to their social media to discuss which shirt number the exciting winger should wear at Old Trafford.

Give him the 17 jersey when he matures in the league then you give him the 7 jersey

He’ll get 7 if he comes, although I’d like to see it on Mason to be honest.

I think theres too much pressure on him for the number 7, should start off with 11
