Man United named third most valuable football club in the world

The latest financial figures are interesting. They show Manchester United as the third most valuable football club in the world, a place ahead of Liverpool and two ahead of Man City.

According to figures from the Brand Finance Football Annual (see infographic below as shared on Twitter by MEN reporter Rich Fay), Real Madrid are the most valuable club with Barcelona overtaking United in second place.

Despite winning the Champions League last year and the Premier League title this term, Liverpool are behind the Red Devils in the rankings. I know I’d rather be winning league titles than tipping them on a financial chart, but this shows the size of Manchester United even during difficult times.

Now things are looking better just imagine the value of Manchester United if they were successful on the pitch.

The manager delivered this season and now it’s time for the board to back him in the transfer market.

In other news, United have cooled their interest in Jack Grealish because they are prioritising a move for Jadon Sancho, as per Sky Sports.

Ed Woodward should use the club’s financial power to strengthen the squad this summer. There are no two ways about it. He didn’t back José Mourinho when he needed it most and he cannot show the same incompetence again.
