Borussia Dortmund set Manchester United Jadon Sancho transfer deadline

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly set a deadline for Manchester United to complete the signing of Jadon Sancho this summer.

According to respected German journalist Christian Falk, United have until August 10 to agree on the transfer if they are serious about making an official approach.

The latest update from SportBILD‘s Head of Football is an interesting one as it appears United are going to have to act quickly if they are to secure the services of one of the most coveted players across world football.

This summer’s transfer window was planned to be open on June 8 before the coronavirus pandemic struck, but the delayed opening is yet to be decided.

As reported by the Athletic, the dates for the window will be debated at a Premier League shareholders meeting this week, with a possible opening and closing date of July 27 and October 5.

This would give United around two weeks from when the transfer window officially opens to sign the man that would take their attack to the next level, if Dortmund’s ultimatum is to be believed.

But as shown by Bayern Munich in their signing of Manchester City winger Leroy Sane (BBC), there is no reason why a deal cannot thrashed out between Dortmund and United before the window even opens.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs to be backed this summer if United’s board are serious about mounting a title challenge in the next two seasons and Sancho is a superstar who could fit into the attack perfectly alongside the exciting Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.
