Video: Man United target Kai Havertz scores fourth goal in two games for Bayern Leverkusen

He can’t stop scoring….

Bayern Leverkusen have retaken the lead against Borussia Mönchengladbach thanks to – you guessed it – Kai Havertz.

The 20-year-old star slotted home a penalty kick in the 58th minute to score his second consecutive brace on Bundesliga’s return after netting twice against Werder Bremen on Monday evening.

According to the Evening Standard, United are targeting the versatile attacker as a potential alternative to Jadon Sancho if a transfer for the Borussia Dortmund starlet doesn’t materialise.

While many eyes have been on Sancho upon the Bundesliga’s return, Havertz has been stealing all the headlines.

As per Squawka, no player in Bundesliga history has scored more goals before their 21st birthday than Havertz (34).

Havertz could solve United’s lack of balance on the right-flank, and can operate in attacking midfield which may make him too good a proposition for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to ignore this summer.
