Harry Maguire has not only been a rock at the back for Manchester United, but his impressive ability with the ball is exactly why Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted the club to invest so much money in signing him.
According to Statman Dave, who makes regular appearances on MUTV for United analysis, the United captain has created 14 chances this season — the most for a centre-back in the Premier League.
Harry Maguire has created 14 chances in the Premier League this season, no central defender has created more.

No other central defender has been able to create as many chances as Maguire — not even Vigil van Dijk, so take that into your next big hot take on Twitter…
Still, there’s an underlying drawback in all of this because although Maguire has been creative at the back, he’s been unable to record a single assist so far.
Maguire’s ability to play the ball out of defence is huge towards what Solskjaer wants to do with this group of players, and he’s been nothing but encouraging since arriving at the club, leading both on and off the pitch.
The England international has made 29 appearances for United in the league, helping them keep 8 clean-sheets while registering one goal.
Improvements still need to be made at the back to secure more clean-sheets, but with Harry we are moving in the right direction.
