Dortmund resigned to losing Man Utd target Sancho with replacement identified

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly prepared to let star man Jadon Sancho leave this summer.

The Independent reports that Valencia winger Ferran Torres has been lined up as as a potential replacement for the England international.

The German giants are leading the chase to sign the Spain U21 international, despite reported interest from Liverpool and Manchester City.

Torres, 20, would be ideal replacement for Sancho, after impressing in La Liga in the past two seasons.

He has just over a year remaining on his current contract and there is little indication that he will negotiate fresh terms.

Dortmund’s pursuit of Torres is encouraging news for Manchester United, who are chasing Sancho.

United are leading contenders to sign Sancho this summer and it doesn’t appear that Dortmund will stand in the way of his exit.

Sancho’s addition would represent a huge coup for Solskjaer this summer and complete a formidable young attacking trio including Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.

We are still hopeful that the Reds can pull off the deal for the 20-year-old this summer, regardless of the impact coronavirus has on the transfer market.

Meanwhile, the Evening Standard reports that midfield and centre forward are positions that Solskjaer is also keen to strengthen in as he looks to accelerate his United rebuild.
