Man Utd to play Watford or Tranmere in FA Cup fourth round if they win replay

Manchester United will face Tranmere or Watford away in the FA Cup fourth round if they can defeat Wolves in the replay at Old Trafford.

The Reds failed to secure their immediate passage through to the fourth round with a goalless draw at Molineux on Saturday evening.

United were perhaps fortunate to force a replay after failing to register a shot on target against Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

The replay will be played at Old Trafford on Tuesday 14th of January.

Wolves will fancy their chances of beating United away from home, with Solskjaer yet to defeat Nuno in five encounters.

But if United do win, they will face a trip to League One Tranmere or Watford, who played out the tie of the third round with a 3-3 draw.

The Reds were abysmal in their 2-0 defeat to Watford at Vicarage Road earlier this season and will be looking for revenge if Nigel Pearson’s men can get through their replay.

Meanwhile United will be huge favourites if they play third division strugglers Tranmere.

Other ties include:

Bristol City/Shrewsbury v Liverpool

Manchester City v Fulham

Brentford v Leicester City

Hull v Chelsea

Southampton v Middlesbrough/Tottenham

Bournemouth v Arsenal/Leeds
