Manchester United are back in the hunt for a striker after one of their top targets Erling Haaland was announced as a Borussia Dortmund player on Sunday.

It is believed that Man Utd pulled out of talks over Haaland because they refused to be held to ransom by the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, who also represents Paul Pogba.
Haaland explained his decision to join Dortmund by saying (via talkSPORT): “I had intensive discussions with the club management and the sports management, especially with Hans-Joachim Watzke, Michael Zorc and trainer Lucien Favre.
“There was a feeling right from the start that I absolutely wanted to switch to this club, go this route and play football in this incredible Dortmund atmosphere win front of more than 80,000 spectators.
“I’m already burning for it.”
We take a look at three different forwards United could now sign instead of Haaland:
According to The Times, as cited by The Metro, Sancho is keen on talking to Manchester United over a potential deal and BVB are set to cash in on the England international.
It’s been a long time since we had a real star on the right wing and Sancho could be the first player in some time to do the no.7 shirt some justice.
Ex-Celtic and Fulham striker is currently playing for Lyon in Ligue 1.
The Express ran a report in October claiming he would be keen on a summer move to Old Trafford.
While United need a more prolific front man they also lack a creative spark in the middle.
Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata have been disappointing this term and we can see Solskjaer target the Leicester City playmaker next month or in the summer.
Hopefully Maddison’s former teammate Harry Maguire is working on convincing him already!
Lancashire Live report Man Utd are preparing a £80m deal to sign Maddison.
