Manchester United are at risk of losing Angel Gomes on a free transfer at the end of the season, according to Manchester Evening News.
Their report claims the youngster has rejected the club’s opening contract offer with just six months left on his current deal at Old Trafford.
United remain in contract talks with the talented youngster but he has so far said to be ‘underwhelmed’ with the terms offered to him.

Barcelona are among the clubs said to be interested in Gomes, who was left out of the United squad entirely for games against Colchester and AZ Alkmaar this month.
These are the type of fixtures the 19-year-old would be expecting to feature in to get game time but the fact he was left out entirely by Solskjaer will come as a blow.
Meanwhile, Gomes’ fellow academy graduates Mason Greenwood, James Garner and Brandon Williams are all playing more first-team minutes.
Dutch winger Tahith Chong is in a similar position to Gomes at United, with his current deal also running out in June. Chong will also be looking for guarantees of future first-team game time if he is to remain at the club.
It is important United can agree a contract with Gomes as he could potentially be the future of the club alongside the likes of Greenwood.
The best scenario would be that Gomes signs a new contract and is loaned out to gain regular first-team football in January.
