Man Utd open talks to secure deal for vital player regularly linked with move away

Manchester United have reportedly begin discussions over a new contract for Paul Pogba.

The France international hasn’t been very consistent during his time back at Old Trafford, but his importance to the side needs no explanation.

Pogba is badly missed whilst out on injured but we hope he returns this week against Rochdale or on Monday night versus Arsenal.

United want to keep hold of the Frenchman and The Times claim they’ve initiated contact with the player’s representatives.

As noted in the report, Pogba flirted with the idea of leaving United while Real Madrid and Juventus were linked with him. And, it won’t be the last time the Spanish giants come knocking for him if Zinedine Zidane remains in charge and gets his wish.

It’s been a difficult start to the season for United, and they could do without missing Champions League football again or else Pogba’s head will be easier to turn for other big clubs in Europe.

Pogba will be modelling a new hairstyle when he next appears for United, which could be Wednesday night in the League Cup against Rochdale.

See above for Pogba’s stylish new trim, which one United fan on Twitter spotted is similar to the way he had it styled for a notable win at the Emirates previously, so the 26-year-old could be preparing for a repeat of that on Monday night when we take on Arsenal.

Pogba has another two years with an option of a third left on his contract, so United are in no rush.
