Aaron Wan-Bissaka reveals personal goal set for every Man Utd game

Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka has revealed the target he has set himself for each game this season.

The England u21 international says he intends to make the most tackle out of any player on the field when he plays for the Reds.

“I love tackles, man, I want to come out with the most tackles from each game; that’s my aim,” he told United Review.

”I’m not really happy when I come out of a game without many tackles. At the same time, when I look back at it, it doesn’t mean anything negative, necessarily – it might mean that the winger’s not confident to keep on coming at me, for me to have the chance to tackle him.”

Wan-Bissaka has been a revelation since joining from Crystal Palace this summer. Already a key man for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the youngster has provided two solid defensive performances in the opening Premier League games.

It’s great to see him making the right-back position his own; the Reds finally have a specialist in the area and no longer have to rely on converted wingers like Ashley Young in the role.

Despite Wan-Bissaka’s form, it would be great to see a run out for Diogo Dalot in the coming games. The Portuguese youngster made a great impression under Solskjaer last season, but may have to operate in a more advanced role on the right to make his way into the first-team.

Wan-Bissaka is certainly reaching his target so far- as seen in Statman Dave’s tweet below. He will be looking to impress again on Saturday when the Reds face his old club at Old Trafford.
