Video: Solskjaer defends Pogba from ‘media agenda’

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said there is a media agenda against midfielder Paul Pogba.

Speaking at the club’s first press conference of the pre-season tour in Perth, Solskjaer defended Pogba, saying his name is simply used to sell stories and newspapers.

The Frenchman has cast doubt over his own future at Old Trafford this summer by suggesting he is seeking a new challenge elsewhere.

However, the United boss was quick to defend his player claiming he is a ‘great professional’ with a ‘heart of gold’.

Solskjaer referred to the reported argument between Pogba and Jesse Lingard posted on the club’s social media yesterday, stating there are no problems in the current squad.

It still remains to be seen whether Pogba will be sold this summer, but the Reds should sell at the right price if the Frenchman is not committed to the club.
