England play their final group game in the tournament against Croatia tonight before returning home, after a shock group stage exit following defeats to France and Romania.
Wan-Bissaka may feature tonight, but is then expected to visit the Reds’ AON Training Complex next week to undergo a medical and finalise the move.
Goal state that a deal for the right-back will cost a total of £55m, making him one of the most expensive full-backs in history.
Wan-Bissaka looks like he’ll be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s second signing as Manchester United manager, after the arrival of Dan James from Swansea City. He is an ideal addition to United’s side, who are lacking at right-back following the departure of Antonio Valencia and the downturn in form of Ashley Young.
Diogo Dalot can also operate at right-back but has been preferred in a more advanced position on the wing so far under Solskjaer.
Let’s hope this move for Wan-Bissaka can be completed imminent to kickstart more United transfer activity this summer.
