Man Utd ranked high in most hated club in the Premier League list [Survey]

Hated. Adored. Never ignored.

In a survey ran by The Mirror, football fans were asked which clubs they detest the most, with Manchester United receiving 68.1% of the vote while Chelsea topped the pile with 68.7%.

The two Premier League clubs clash this weekend at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea going into the game as clear favourites. Not only do Maurizio Sarri’s men have home advantage, but they’re also playing much better football than United and look set to challenge Manchester City for the title this season.

Liverpool are ranked third in the survey with 52.8% while Huddersfield are the least hated on 9.7%.

I’m not sure what we’ve done to p*ss in everyone’s cornflakes, but I guess jealously has a big part to play in this survey given United’s dominance over English football for so many years.

Manager Jose Mourinho is hardly the most liked man in English football currently either, which undoubtedly contributed to the high percentage.

As for Chelsea, Roman Abramovich and his billions are among the factors behind people’s despise for the London club. Not to mention the way their fans conducted themselves in the Paris Métro back in February 2015, as reported by The Guardian.
