Man Utd ace set for another loan spell to Championship club

Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe is reportedly closing in on a loan transfer to Aston Villa on a 12-month deal.

This is according to The Sun, who report that Tuanzebe is heading back to Villa Park after also spending half of last season on loan there despite trouble with injuries.

The 20-year-old looks a promising talent but only made five appearances for Steve Bruce’s men, though he was also behind John Terry in the pecking order. That won’t be the case if he returns again.

Despite looking a bright prospect, playing time looks limited for Tuanzebe at United in the near future, with the club activity looking to sign a top-class centre-back.

Bild claim that the Reds are in talks to sign Bayern Munich star Jerome Boateng, while the Daily Mirror suggest a deal could be close to raid Tottenham Hotspur for Toby Alderweireld and Sky Sports link them with Leicester City’s Harry Maguire.

Leaving it this late to get our prime transfer target is shambolic. We’re like the drunken fool in a nightclub at 2am still hoping to get lucky.

If he does join Villa on loan for the full season, hopefully, fitness won’t be an issue and he gets to play more games to further his development.
