Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Leicester City and England centre-back Harry Maguire as Jose Mourinho aims to bolster his defence ahead of the new season.
The Guardian claim that Mourinho is looking at Maguire as an option, but he would cost around £50 million to prize away from The King Power Stadium, which is a significant amount for a defender after one good year.
The 25-year-old joined Leicester from Hull City last summer, but his impressive displays led to a call-up from Gareth Southgate. Then, a strong World Cup campaign was followed by alleged interest from United.

Should Mourinho pursue Maguire, who misses out? There’s a good chance that will be either Chris Smalling or Phil Jones, with Victor Lindelof deserving of more opportunities and Eric Bailly expected to run the show from the back.
According to the story in the Guardian, Mourinho is a big admirer of Maguire and believes his technical attributes would offer more to United’s defence, and even initiate attacks.
