Uh-oh. Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho said Anthony Martial would start against Watford during his press conference on Friday, but the player has reportedly been left out of the squad and as a result was seen driving away from Old Trafford early.
Mourinho said Anthony Martial would play today but he’s not in the squad. No reason given yet. He was at Old Trafford about 12pm but drove away.

This hardly bodes well for Martial’s future at the club, which was already in serious doubt.
Now fans might begin to see what sort of rubbish Mourinho had to put up with each week when some were of the view Martial was being wrongly managed.

Yes, the Frenchman is a cracking prospect but this behaviour — unless there’s a valid reason or the news is incorrect — is unacceptable.
It will be interesting to see if Mourinho passes comment.
