Manchester United set price on Luke Shaw with exit on the cards

Manchester United will demand a fee of at least £28 million for Luke Shaw after the left-back fell out-of-favour with manager Jose Mourinho.

Shaw’s future at Old Trafford has been the subject of speculation since reports emerged last season that Mourinho was not keen with the player’s attitude or happy with his discipline and diet. Mourinho’s standards are high and the best is expected at clubs such as United.

The England international was substituted off at half-time during United 2-0 win over Brighton in the FA Cup. Mourinho was critical of the 22-year-old’s performance after the game and Shaw has not featured for the club since.

Shaw is out of contract in July 2019, but Stretty News understands he will not stay beyond the summer.

According to The Sun, United are only willing to sell Shaw if they recoup the money spend on him in 2014.

Reports linking Shaw to Barcelona are nothing short of laughable. If he’s unable to hack it at one top club, what is there suggest Shaw can do it at another?

There’s a slight chance we’ll see Shaw get a run with Mourinho giving players a chance against Bournemouth on Wednesday night.
