VIDEO: Gary Neville and Paul Scholes ice bucket challenge

Following the friendly between Salford City and the Class of 92 last night, former Manchester United stars Gary Neville and Paul Scholes took on the ice bucket challenge.

The ice bucket challenge is in aid of James McCarthy and his foundation. James was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2009 and had a significant portion of his brain removed as a result. James still battled on by teaching himself to walk, read and write again. However, it didn’t stop there for James. His battle continued as he studied for a degree at Salford University.

Sadly, in September 2013, a routine scan discovered a terminal tumour, and now the ice bucket challenge is helping raise funds for a fellow red to tick off some of the things on James’ bucket list.

This was one of few videos captured by Full Time Devils last night. United We Stand founder and editor Andy Mitten nominated Gary Neville when he underwent the challenge immediately after returning from Manchester United’s pre-season tour in America. Neville then nominated Paul Scholes, who passed the task on to current United midfielder Darren Fletcher.

Adam McKola of Full Time Devils also got an interview with Phil Neville. Fizzer refused to comment on United when asked about the upcoming season under Louis van Gaal.
