Manchester United told €50m offer will be accepted for Inter Milan right-back

Manchester United have been linked with a move for Inter Milan right-back Denzel Dumfries for some time. The Netherlands option appears to be the focus again with Erik ten Hag searching for players to improve his team.

According to a story in La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Manchester United are among three Premier League clubs that are interested in signing Denzel Dumfries.

The other two clubs are Chelsea and Newcastle United, who are both expected to splash the cash in the summer, especially if the latter finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League.

It is suggested in the report that an offer of €40m could be enough to lure the player, though an offer of €50m would be accepted by the Italian club immediately.

The right-back has proved to be a versatile player for Milan, which may explain why Ten Hag would want him in the first place. He has also played in midfield and on the right wing.

Furthermore, La Gazzetta Dello Sport claim Dumfries is open to a switch to the Premier League.

It goes without saying that Dumfries would be a big upgrade on Aaron Wan-Bissaka and he could push Diogo Dalot for a starting place in the team.

There’s nothing wrong with healthy competition in the squad.
