It appears Alexis Sanchez’s Old Trafford nightmare is coming to an end with Inter Milan closing in on the Chilean.
According to reliable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, United and Inter remain in talks over Sanchez, with contact expected in an attempt to finalise an agreement on a loan deal with an option to buy.
Romano says the Serie A side are ‘confident’ they can sign the 30-year-old before the European transfer window shuts on September 2.

Sanchez could join up with Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, who was also signed by Antonio Conte’s side this summer as the new manager looks to create a new look attack at the San Siro.
It’s frustrating that Sanchez has not been able to deliver at all since arriving from Arsenal last January.
Instead, the Chilean has netted just five times, and has proved to be one of the most expensive mistakes in United history.
We expect to see Sanchez depart in the coming days, leaving space for Mason Greenwood to get more first-team opportunities under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after no attacker was signed to replace Lukaku
Inter and Man United are still in talks for Alexis Sanchez deal. New contact on next hours to finalize the agreement on loan + buy option, Man Utd are trying to change some details but Inter are still “confident” to complete everything soon. ⚫️🔵 #transfers #MUFC #ManUtd
