Manchester United’s transfer policy over the last decade has left a lot to be desired. With improvements over the past 12 months, we can now making fun of how other European giants conduct their business.
I’m talking about Barcelona. The same club that led us on for over 100 days last summer when it came to Erik ten Hag trying to sign Frenkie de Jong.
We’ve seen a lot of high profile players falter under the pressure of playing for United, disappointing managers and fans in the process after costing large sums of money.
None more so than Chile star Alexis Sanchez.
Sanchez joined United from Premier League rivals Arsenal in the winter of 2018. Signed by Jose Mourinho, he sadly endured a torrid time at Old Trafford before being shipped out less than two years later for a transfer to Inter Milan.
However, Sanchez is now a free agent – looking for a new club to join ahead of the 2023/24 campaign after spending last season at Marseille in Ligue 1.
According to a report cited by The Sun, Barcelona are interested in re-signing Sanchez to bolster their attack. Journalist Jose Tomas Fernandez Pumarino says Sanchez’s representatives and Barca chiefs are meeting today to discuss the feasibility of the move.

Having lost Ousmane Dembele to Paris Saint-Germain, it sounds like Barcelona are panicking yet again.
Sanchez scored 14 goals in Ligue 1 last term.

He’s a good player. Should have worked at United, maybe would have if ETH had been in charge.
Barca are no mugs, of course, so expect him to do well there; if he joins.
