Manchester United have announced that Jose Mourinho has left the club.
We always felt the end was near but didn’t think it would come this soon as the club would make it a business decision.
The statement from the club suggests Mourinho left the club and there is no mention anywhere of the Portuguese tactician getting sacked, however, throughout the day there will be more information.
So, three and a half years… how was it for you?

Mourinho started well and got United back into the Champions League. In his first season, the club won the Europa League and League Cup, and with such a feel good factor we thought we were in for the long haul.
Season two saw United finish runners-up to Manchester City in the league. Mourinho has called that an achievement, though it was a sign of progression which wouldn’t last very long. The dive in form occurred at the end of 2017/18 and carried into this season.
Now, the Reds are positioned sixth in the league and without a manager. A place in the last 16 of the Champions League has been booked – against Paris Saint-Germain – and whoever takes over for the meantime has a big task.
It’s going to be a busy few months at Old Trafford.
