Depth is beneficial for Erik ten Hag in such high-stakes matches, but there are concerns that Martial has already played his last game in red, given his torrid injury record.
In terms of where the 28-year-old may end up, Rudy Galetti reports that he has potential suitors in his native France and Italy, with both Roma and Inter Milan mulling over an approach for the soon-to-be free agent.
It’s thought that a switch to Ligue 1 is the most likely, meaning he would return to the division after nine years following his Monaco exit in 2015.
