Manchester United will travel to League One side Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup third round.

The Reds reached the final of the FA Cup last season but were unable to get over the last hurdle against rivals Man City.

This year our FA Cup campaign starts with a trip to Wigan and it makes a difference from all the home draws we’ve had in domestic competitions, especially in the Carabao Cup.

The Reds were previously drawn at home in each of the last 12 domestic cup draws.

United’s trip to Wigan will be our first away tie in a domestic competition, excluding two legged semi-finals, since March 2021 when we lost 3-1 to Leicester City at the quarter-final stage of the FA Cup.
