Manchester United tracking Mason Greenwood’s private training sessions

Manchester United are receiving data from Mason Greenwood’s ‘private’ training sessions as they prepare to make a decision on his future.

Greenwood, 21, was recently filmed training at a public complex by John Gubba (Man Utd The Religion), with the sessions overseen by a former United junior coach. His dad/agent, Andrew, was also present with Greenwood’s newborn child.

The filmmaker in question was threatened by Greenwood’s entourage.

According to the Manchester Evening News, United are due to communicate their decision on Greenwood’s future after a six-month investigation before the start of the season.

United start the 2023/24 campaign at home to Wolves on Monday night.

The report also states that United have been receiving data from Greenwood’s private training sessions. That alone is a suggestion that he will be brought back, which will only cause further division in the fanbase.

Greater Manchester Police announced on February 2 that Greenwood no longer faced charges after being charged with attempted rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour and assault.

Furthermore, the Crown Prosecution Service dropped all charges against Greenwood, but we all know that having charges dropped doesn’t make someone innocent.

In fact, Greenwood has yet to plead innocence publicly, so United’s announcement will be intriguing one way or other.

The MEN add that Erik ten Hag is reluctant to sell Greenwood and United are considering the possibility of a loan move.

Greenwood has not played for United since January 22, 2022.
