Fred’s days at Manchester United are numbered and it is understood the club has lowered it’s asking price for the Brazil midfielder.

With Manchester United still planning to add to their midfield department this summer, it goes without saying that Fred will fall further down the pecking order.

One name being tipped for a move to Old Trafford is Fiorentina star Sofyan Amrabat and there’s no doubt in my mind that he would be a huge upgrade on Fred.

According to Aldredo Pedulla, United have lowered their asking price for Fred after previously demanding €20m for his signature. It is now believed the Reds want €15m.

Staying at Old Trafford could prove counter-productive for the Brazil international and it wasn’t long ago that he was strongly being linked with a move to Fulham.

Since then Fred has been linked with Galatasaray as well as a Saudi Pro League club.

While there is interest in the United midfielder, the club has yet to recieve a formal offer for Fred. There could be down to the fact other clubs feel he is being priced out of a move this summer. In that case, with United needing to sell players, it may be time to act.

By act, I mean lowering our asking price to ensure Fred is sold before transfer deadline day.
