Manchester United legend slams Richard Keys after bizarre Erik ten Hag criticism

Manchester United legend Norman Whiteside has hit out at presenter Richard Keys after an ill-informed criticism of Erik ten Hag.

Firstly, anyone with strong criticism of Ten Hag after his first season in charge needs their heads examined.

The critics quickly lined up up to knock him, but they were silenced when United lifted the Carabao Cup and finished third in the Premier League. It was a sign of clear progress.

Take the losses we’ve had on pre-season for example. Immature rival fans have getting the ball rolling before the new campaign, and we can include Richard Keys in that category.

Former Sky Sports (disgraced) host Richard Keys slammed United after a 3-2 defeat to Borussia Dortmund.

Ten Hag was critical with his players after the game for now following the instructions he set them.

Keys accused Ten Hag of deflecting the blame onto his own players.

Former Manchester United star Norman White only needed one word to describe Keys and his opinion of Ten Hag: “Bitter!”

Pre-season is not about winning football matches and Keys should know that as he’s been involved in football for so long.

Maybe he should work on strengthening that relationship with his daughter. It sounds too strained to be sat there worrying about the manager of Manchester United.

Nobody takes Keys seriously. It will be like water off a duck’s back for Ten Hag.
