Marcus Rashford has put pen to paper on a five-year contract extension with his boyhood club.

After David Ornstein reported this morning that Manchester United had reached an agreement with the forward on new terms, Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that Rashford has signed off on the new deal.

United will announce the extension soon, with the 25-year-old now contracted to Old Trafford until June 2028, having been at the club since 2005.

Rashford’s sensational season

The Carrington graduate is on the back of his best season to date after registering the first 30-goal campaign of his career, so it’s no wonder why Erik ten Hag was adamant about tying him down. It was also no surprise that he was named Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year for his scintillating performances across the 2022/2023 term.

Ornstein confirmed that Rashford has rejected lucrative proposals from clubs across Europe, including in England. Given that he’s Red through and through, it was likely an easy choice for him to rebut interest from other Premier League rivals.
