(Photo) Avram Glazer spotted at hotel owned by Sheikh Jassim’s father in takeover twist

Manchester United co-chairman Avram Glazer was pictured today (via The Mirror) at a hotel owned by Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani’s father.

Al-Thani is one of two parties bidding for the majority shares in the club, along with Englishman Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who is believed to hold an advantage in the sale process.

However, today’s pictures have sparked speculation on the American’s reasoning behind his stay at Claridges Hotel, and whether or not it has anything to do with the ongoing situation between the billionaire investors.

It is, however, worth noting that the Al-Thani family own a number of expensive hotels in London, so it may have been a stay purely for leisure and not business.

Avram was also spotted at the women’s FA Cup final yesterday at Wembley, with United sustaining a 1-0 defeat to Chelsea. Post-match, he was quizzed on a potential takeover in the media section but blanked the journalist and headed straight out of the stadium.
