Two Manchester United players have been named in BBC Sport football pundit Garth Crooks’ Team of the Week.
Crooks has opted to include David de Gea and Luke Shaw in his best 11 of the week. The Reds picked up two wins last week; Nottingham Forest (3-0) and Wolverhampton Wanderers (1-0).

Both players were crucial to the Red Devils picking up two more clean sheets, which has taken De Gea joint-second in the Premier League rankings alongside Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale on seven and behind Newcastle United’s Nick Pope on nine.
De Gea made several outstanding saves against Wolves on Saturday, with one, in particular, ensuring United won the match. It came in injury time and proved how invaluable the Spaniard is to his side.
Hopefully, he can pick up this season’s Golden Glove as it would be more than deserved with how much his heroics have saved United.
Luke Shaw’s new role
Shaw had a different role to play last week; Erik ten Hag utilised the Englishman as a centre-back, as opposed to his natural position on the left. This was due to Harry Maguire suffering from an illness and Lisandro Martinez still being unavailable after returning from the World Cup.
Shaw was deployed alongside Raphael Varane and the pair, along with Tyrell Malacia and Aaron Wan-Bissaka as the full-backs, displayed two consecutive faultless performances. The 27-year-old did not once look out of place and has perhaps even given the manager another option at centre-back.
