Victor Lindelof and Christian Eriksen have spoken highly of Manchester United’s No.10.

Marcus Rashford has enjoyed a fine start to the season after overseeing a difficult campaign last year. The 25-year-old has already outdone his goal contributions from 2022/2023, and he just carries on adding to it with each match that passes.

Erik ten Hag has seemingly given the forward his confidence back, as well as a cemented place in the starting lineup each week.

Rashford also impressed at the World Cup earlier this month, as he scored three goals across the tournament and was instrumental in England’s progression to the quarter-finals.

He then picked up exactly where he left off in his return to club action, with a goal against Burnley in last week’s Carabao Cup tie. On Tuesday, he scored the opener against Nottingham Forest and assisted Anthony Martial in United’s 3-0 win at Old Trafford.

Lindelof and Eriksen laud Rashford’s form

Eriksen told MUTV: “He’s very confident. You can see that in games, he is looking sharp and really on it. He looks like he is going to create something or he’s going to score something every time.

“And I think the same [against Burnley]. I think some of the players or some of the time, you would not try and go and dribble between three guys and hope what happens, but he’s in a mood and a place where he can do that. Hopefully, he can continue what he is doing and take us further.”

Lindelof also gave his verdict when talking to the club’s media team, adding: “He is a fantastic player. When he plays with confidence like this, it makes it even more difficult to defend against him.

“But he has been in great form, and I think he performed great at the World Cup as well. Hopefully, he can just keep going and score more goals for us because he is very important for us as a team.”
